Dear Family and Friends,

            As another month starts here in Iraq, Shop Office is once again in the midst of new and changing events.  The biggest change for the section is that I am now the Shop Officer, having migrated from being the Armament Platoon Leader for the last ten months.  People seem to think a Redleg turned Ordnance Officer should have the job, I thank them for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to learning the job and about the other sections in the time left to us here in the desert.

            SFC Marrero has been doing double duty as the MCS and acting 1SG while 1SG Jones takes some much needed R&R.  This has left Sgt. Mulet running most of the day to day operations; picking up parts, processing work orders, and dropping disks at SPO & SSA. In addition to working on these tasks Sgt. Mulet and Pfc. Kowlessar have been hard at work ordering DS bench stock for the Hunter MST, doing ORILs, SSA Recon, as well as working with SPO to get long over due parts in to the shops.

            Spc Sullivan has been a person of multiple talents, first she came back from guard duty and started doing Shop Office operations without missing a beat, next she helped the company by performing CQ, and to top it off she went on R & R at the end of the month.  All members of the section have been doing there best at whatever task they are asked to perform, it is an honor to be asked to serve with them, and all of us are working as fast as possible to return to you from this long deployment in Iraq.
